Howletts Wild Animal Park and Port Lympne Wild Animal Park are planning a number of Recruitment Fairs over two weekends in March and April 2008, offering the chance to work in two parks managed by the Aspinall Foundation, and to learn about the pioneering work in animal conservation undertaken by them. They are renowned for their unique approach to animal management through encouraging close personal relationships between staff and animals in an environment as close to the natural habitat as possible, and so a unique opportunity to work in a unique environment beckons.

The Parks are seeking people on both a part-time and full-time seasonal basis, to assist during Easter and throughout the summer season, when visitor numbers peak, in all areas of the parks, from casual bar and waiting staff, chefs, and general staff in the retail outlets, to gardeners, litter operatives and administration assistants.

For those interested in actually working with the animals hands-on, there are positions up for grabs at the Livingstone Lodge Safari as vehicle drivers and animal presenters, while volunteers are required to man the Education Centre.

The two fairs are on Sunday 2nd March and Saturday 26th April at Port Lympne, and Saturday 1st March and Sunday 27th April at Howletts Wild Animal Park, between 9 a.m. and 12 noon.
